LAHITI
At first glance, you might think Lahiti is just an ordinary dog with a caramel coat. But she's actually a Recessive, with the same intelligence as the Ascended and the ability to speak.
Intrepid and not at all shy, the young dog is thirsty for adventure. But she's also terribly attached to her friend Hayo, who isn't quite as reckless.
HAYO
Hayo is a drake (not a dragon) of the western plains. The last mythical creature of Vallerane, he fled his people in search of solitude. Until he met a little dog.
Pacific, Hayo shuns obstacles, and is nothing like the dragon people call Tiriel's Scourge. His only ambition is to stay in his cave and sleep. Though, he still doesn't know the power he really holds.
Jona
The fox mercenary is constantly in adversity. Yet his future seemed to be all mapped out for him. Born into a renowned mercenary family, well educated, he couldn't remain indifferent to the cruel tasks he was asked to complete.
He vowed to follow his own path, to make his own decisions. The best decisions. Even if it meant turning against his own kind.
Liri
Liri is free. She has no ties, holds no convictions, and is content to follow where the wind and the missions take her, gazing detachedly at the world while sipping a cup of tea.
But Liri is also generous. And if someone she loves needs her help, she won't hesitate to use her extraordinary arching skills.
Shiru
Shiru is an outstanding leader. One of the most renowned mercenary leaders in Vallerane. So, whenever a very special mission arrives, it's not surprising that her services are called upon.
The vixen with the golden watch is known for her perfectly honed teams and her famously reliable plans. But she's also feared for her poison-impregnated swords.
Ninko
This dog has given his all to his work. His body bears the marks of too many battles and tortures. But he has never failed. Faithful to the depths of his being, he is now at Shiru's service.
Armed with a huge, spiky shield, he'll defend her to the ends of the world.
Torke
If one had to choose one word to define Torke, it would be exuberant. This mercenary is here to have fun! He knows how to respond like no other, he won't hesitate to hit where it hurts for his own entertainment. And his teammates don't take kindly to his unhealthy curiosity.
His personality is matched only by his physique: muscular to the tip of his claws, the gharial proudly wears a necklace lined with the teeth of his victims. When confronted with his spikes, it's best not to respond and just walk away.
Soma
Soma is an enigma. This mercenary is a complete unknown, with no feats of arms to her name. And yet, she managed to get herself hired for such an important mission.
It's true that her knowledge of the Lizard People is uncommon. As is her knowledge of the art of creating Potions, which has fallen into disuse in Vallerane. But is it enough for the task ahead?
Einsha
If you can feel the ground shaking, it's probably Einsha. The iguana is a mountain of muscle and it's best not to piss her off, otherwise you'll end up with a huge axe stuck between your shoulders.
Einsha isn't much of a talker. The less she has to say, the better, hence her particular fondness for monosyllabic sentences. But don't be fooled: she still has a very full head.
Tiko
The wild dog is a ball of energy, adept at mood swings. But can you call it a mood swing if he's always like that? There's a very long list of things that annoy the animal, and taunts about his size or abilities are at the top of it.
Tiko is nonetheless a competent mercenary. A scout with an automatic crossbow, and also talented in medicine. An invaluable asset when danger is ever-present.
Olmar
Olmar is Vallerane's self-proclaimed master. An omnipresent, oppressive presence, his species and whereabouts are unknown. Too many legends intertwine to discern the true from the false.
Only Markos, the only Ascended to relay his words, could tell. But for now, these secrets are well guarded.
